Shrimp Olympics began as the home recording project of Austin Lombardo, and has since expanded into a 5 piece band, featuring Lombardo (guitar, vocals), Teagan DeVoe (violin, vocals), Mat Roberts (keyboard, percussion), Alex Graves (bass), and Stone Thompson (drums). The early Shrimps tapes followed in the tradition of home taping popsters such as R Stevie Moore, Daniel Johnston and Ween. Shrimp Olympics music often makes quick jumps between genres including psychedelic pop, country rock, jazz, noise experiments, progressive rock, baroque pop, etc
