The Harmon Brothers are veteran Twin Cities musicians, playing the local music scene for four decades as members of various bands including The Boards, Bermuda Onion, Hot Lava, The Odd and Tulip Sweet and Her Trail of Tears. Pullstring w. The Over Unders, The Symptones

Pullstring: How does one describe Pullstring? Well… Basically Dad Rock. Hailing from Minneapolis, Pullstring’s brand of nostalgic Alt Rock and Power Pop is reminiscent of the 90s and 2000s artists they grew up listening to, such as Green Day and their hometown favorites, The Replacements. Pullstring explores the struggles and realities of being a young adult in the 2020’s, the highs and lows, the victories and defeats. We’re all just trying to find our place in the world, come along and join us for the ride. Though only a few years old, Pullstring is no stranger to life on the road with three Midwest tours under their belt playing at venues such as 7th Street Entry (Minneapolis, MN), the Maintenance Shop (Ames, IA), and Shank Hall (Milwaukee, WI). Pullstring has also been on festival lineups such as Big Turn Music Fest, KURE Fest, and Northwoods Rock Rally. Notable touring acts Pullstring has opened for include ALEXSUCKS, George Clanton, The Melismatics, and We Are Scientists. What will Pullstring do next? The Over Unders: The Over Unders are an Alt Rock duo from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, comprised of brothers Sam (Guitar and Vocals) and Matthew (Drums) Hellman. Their fresh and enthusiastic take on classic rock n’ roll is often likened to their major influences who fall all along the diverse spectrum of power pop and classic alternative.  Above all else, The Over Unders value well crafted songs that deliver honest confessions and observations about life. Their 2022 EP “No Soap Radio” went to work for them (Featuring “Rhonda” with 50K+ spotify streams), landing them a spot at Cadott, Wisconsin’s Rockfest among other regional shows. The band is poised to keep the momentum rolling with new singles “Our Lives” and “Me & You” out now, with more releases in the pipeline for 2024-2025. The Symptones: The Symptones are a five-piece indie rock band from the Twin Cities playing a gourmet blend of classic rock, soul, punk, and new wave influenced music. As their sound continues to evolve, so does their electric stage presence, prompting Tone Heads around the world to scream “hot damn!,” “I’ll have what SHE’S having,” and “who is this again?” The band is currently in the finishing stages of a new EP, featuring exciting original songs that echo the hot nights of summer, where all you need is a guitar, a switchblade, and a dream. When they say “SYMP,” we all say “TONES.”
