After graduating from the U of Mn with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, Aja went on to perform with the Minnesota Opera, as well as in Musical productions with Penumbra Theatre and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Aja now spends her time performing as a freelance vocalist singing Jazz, R&B, Funk and Motown. In 2018, due to her love of all things Sarah Vaughan, she studied many of the recordings of Sarah to construct a Sarah Vaughan Tribute show. You can see Aja performing with her own ensemble, as well as with The Johnnie Brown Experience and the Capri Big Band. “Aja Parham is one of the Twin Cities’ most well-versed singers, with a wide vocal range and a deep knowledge of music.
