SUMMARY:Chris Trapper
DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 5:00 PM for Dinner and Drink Service.\n\n\nGrammy nominated singer-songwriter Chris Trapper has traveled the world over\, performing to a dedicated and ever growing fan base with nothing but his guitar and his songs. Raised on Prine and Kristofferson\, Trapper’s first foray in the music industry was as frontman of the critically acclaimed alt-rock band The Push Stars (Capitol Records). Over the past decade\, Chris has become a modern day acoustic troubadour\, performing over 150 dates a year as a headliner and sharing the stage with the likes of Rob Thomas\, Pat Benatar and even John Prine himself. \nChris’s newest record “Watching Sparks Fly By” is his 12th full length solo album and was released on March 11th\, 2025. The Boston based troubadour employed multiple producers to bring 13 brand new tracks to life (plus 3 bonus tracks including a studio version of the fan favorite “Keg On My Coffin”). Highlights include the first single “Campfire Symphony”\, the G. Love collaboration “Swept Away” and the gentle ballad “Toast To Us” featuring rock and roll hall of famer Pat Benatar. \nA favorite of Hollywood’s music supervisors\, Chris’s songs have appeared in such films as “The Devil Wears Prada”\, “There’s Something About Mary” and his song “This Time” was the number one selling song on the Grammy nominated soundtrack for “August Rush” (Robin Williams\, Jonathan Rhys Meyers). \n“Classic pop perfection.” – New York Times\nwww.christrapper.com

SUMMARY:The Music of Django Reinhardt with the Ryan Picone Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 5:00 PM for Dinner and Drink Service.\n\n\nThe Music of Django Reinhardt\nDjango Reinhardt collaborated with several vocalists throughout his career. This show features those pivotal interactions with Jean Sablon\, Edith Piaf\, and Freddy Taylor. \nDr. Ryan Picone: Lead Guitar \nTessa Nichols Meade: Violin \nCarl Johnson: Rhythm Guitar \nMatt Blake: Bass \nFeaturing Vocalists Victoria Temiz & Magge Black! \nThe Ryan Picone Quartet is a group that was put together to showcase the original compositions of Ryan Picone. The music has been written throughout different time periods in his life\, and represents his connection to the music of Django Reinhardt. The band consists of Ryan Picone from The Red Hot Django Peppers\, Ian Stenlund from The Mississippi Hot Club\, Tessa Nichols Meade from the Cold City Heat\, and Matt Blake from the Gentleman’s Anti Temperance League. This group is an all star group that brings together a new transfiguration of Jazz.In 2023 the Ryan Picone Quartet released their debut album titled – I Awake dedicated to the legendary Django Reinhardt. The album has received great praise from the Django community including author Michael Dregni. In 2024 RPQ played their first Django Festival along side with musicians like Joscho Stephan and Sam Farthing. \nMinneapolis jazz vocalist Victoria Temiz brings warmth\, nuance\, and a storyteller’s touch to every performance. Rooted in early jazz and the Great American Songbook\, her singing blends elegance with emotional clarity\, evoking the intimacy of a bygone era while feeling distinctly her own. Trained in classical voice from an early age\, Victoria earned her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Duquesne University before falling in love with jazz’s expressive freedom. Inspired by the phrasing of Ella Fitzgerald and the cinematic beauty of French chanson\, she brings both refinement and heart to the stage. She has performed throughout the Twin Cities and beyond\, including appearances at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival and New York’s Gotham Jazz Festival and regularly appears with her duo Clover Club\, exploring the charm and swing of early jazz and blues. \nMaggie Black is a piano based singer songwriter from Chicago\, whose eclectic style draws from influences such as Suzanne Vega\, Jeff Buckley\, Fiona Apple\, Leonard Cohen\, and Amy Winehouse. She is currently recording her first album on an 8 track with the help of the musical maverick Dev Jana. If you ask her about this project she might retreat into the nearest snail’s shell and raise a sign that reads “please come back when I’m done\,” but she promises it’ll be done soon. \nReview by author; Michael Dregni. “Swinging\, sensual\, moody\, rousing — Ryan Picone Quartet’s music follows the trail of Django Reinhardt’s Gypsy jazz. Listening to these tracks\, you can almost smell the campfire smoke and see the nighttime lights of Paris burning on the horizon. Bon voyage!”\nwww.ryanpicone.com

SUMMARY:Alison Brown
DESCRIPTION:“Brown’s banjo is an instrument possessed of a unique sonic signature and an inescapable beauty” – Billboard\n  \nOne of the most multi-faceted minds in roots music\, Alison Brown is a Grammy-winning musician and a Grammy-nominated producer. Additionally\, she is a former investment banker (with an AB from Harvard and an MBA from UCLA). Also\, she co-founded The Compass Records Group which celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2023. \nAlison began her musical career as a teenager in the Southern California bluegrass scene. Now\, she has built a reputation as one of today’s most forward-thinking and innovative banjo players. She is known for taking the instrument far beyond its Appalachian roots by blending bluegrass and jazz influences into a sonic tapestry. Thus\, she has earned praise and recognition from a variety of national tastemakers. For example\, The Wall Street Journal\, CBS Sunday Morning\, NPR\, and USA Today. \nSteve Martin and Alison Brown released their debut collaborative album\, Safe\, Sensible and Sane\, in 2025. There\, it features guest appearances from Jackson Browne\, Vince Gill\, the Indigo Girls\, Tim O’Brien\, Jason Mraz\, Della Mae\, and more. Moreover\, Safe\, Sensible and Sane emerges as a captivating new turn in the evolution of banjo music. \nThere\, the album follows their chart-topping collaborations “Foggy Morning Breaking”\, “Bluegrass Radio”\, and “Wall Guitar (Since You Said Goodbye)”. Here\, these longtime friends and banjo aficionados have crafted a collection of banjo-inspired songs. Further\, they are built on Brown’s daringly inventive melodies and Martin’s idiosyncratic yet ineffably tender lyrics.  \nRecommended for fans of Steep Canyon Rangers\, Yonder Mountain String Band\, Della Mae and Béla Fleck.

SUMMARY:John Scofield’s Electrospective
DESCRIPTION:“Scofield is one of the most prolific and admired jazz musicians of his generation” – NPR\n  \nThrough his fifty-four-year career\, three-time Grammy Award winner John Scofield has occasionally detoured from the traditions of straight-ahead jazz. There\, he explores a blend of funk and jazz that has led to some of his most popular projects. In 2026\, Scofield looks back at many of his now classic fusion groove compositions with Electrospective.  \nNot intending to replicate earlier fan favorites\, he plans instead to revisit them with the seasoned perspective of several decades. Here\, he culls tunes from his Blue Matter\, Uberjam\, and AGoGo bands\, each responsible for a few recordings. Additionally\, he will play new material in the same vein.  \nMoreover\, Scofield looks forward to teaming up with a stellar band of colleagues. Electrospective will rely on interpretative input from Scofield alum and super funk drummer/producer Adam Deitch (Lettuce). Also\, multidimensional Larry Goldings (Scary Goldings\, James Taylor) on keyboards. Additionally\, legendary bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Co.\, Tedeschi Trucks\, Allman Brothers). With this repertoire so frequently (and loudly) requested by audience members\, Scofield is glad to have a band that will truly do the music justice. \nRecommended for fans of Pat Metheny\, Lettuce\, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Medeski\, Martin & Wood.
