Pianist Ari Nahum has been collaborating with bassist Jim Pacala for the past 17 years and will be joined by the sensitive\, prominent Twin Cities drummer Ken Goldman.\n—The Jazzologists are a jazz ensemble born in the halls of Regions Hospital in Saint Paul\, Minnesota\, where five physicians first came together to play music in the lobby during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the hospital eerily quiet amid shutdowns\, Stephen Jackson (trumpet)\, Ashish Mahajan (saxophone)\, Ari Nahum (piano)\, Judson Pollock (bass)\, and Scott Loewenstein (drums) discovered that playing together offered a creative outlet they sorely needed. What began as informal sessions to fill the silence has since evolved into a serious musical collaboration\, with the group deepening their commitment to the craft.
