![]() The New Havoline Supremes are a Twin Cities based band, featuring the legendary Mary Cutrufello on guitar and vocals, and Dan Lowinger on guitar. Formed in October of 2023, the band plays a mix of classic country and Mary’s original tunes, and features Greg Schutte (Ryan Bingham, Mickey Hart, Chasity Brown) on drums, and Erik Lillestol (Cafe Accordion) on bass. Mary Cutrufello With 30 years of experience in the music business, Mary Cutrufello is everything from Texas honky-tonk heroine and fiery Midwestern roots-rocker to a powerhouse acoustic performer. Connecticut-raised and Yale-educated, Mary’s musical journey has taken her from the East Coast to Houston and now to Minnesota. Career highlights include: the major label release of ”When the Night is Through,” on Mercury Records in 1998, appearances on national tv shows such as Tonight Show with Jay Leno, appearances at major festivals including Farm Aid, and tours with Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Tish Hinojosa. Mary has seven self-released albums, and has played guitar locally for Annie Mack, Michael Perry and the Long Beds, and many others. A rock and roll band! Killer harmonies, rippin’ solos, cool songs, funny shit in between. Hailed as a country guitarist, Mary Cutrufello grew up on East Coast classic rock. (Yes, think Springsteen!) This tight, taut trio explores her songs old and new with the fearless guitars, stories, and between-song banter she’s known for. Dan Lowinger, a transplant from Portland, OR, is a guitarist steeped in the tradition of Western swing and classic country. Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2017, Dan has become a fixture in the local country and Americana scene, playing on a regular basis with all star Western swing band Honky Tonk Jump, and country rockers Cole Diamond, while also sharing the stage with local greats, Martin Zellar (Gear Daddies), Tony Andreason (The Trashmen), Pat Donohue (Prairie Home Companion) and many others! He has performed regionally and toured nationally with many different country and swing bands from the Pacific Northwest including: The Barn Door Slammers, Ralph Carney’s Pepper Grinders, Vince Mira, and Western Centuries.

A ticket to the show is not included with the VIP package. All VIP guests are required to purchase a separate ticket to attend the VIP performance. A timeless voice outlasts eras. It feels just as at home in the sixties as it does in the TikTok age. It also resounds louder as time goes on. Haley Reinhart brandishes such a voice. The platinum-selling singer and songwriter is heavily influenced by classic pop and soul acts. For example, the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sly and the Family Stone inspire her. Further, she exudes an empowering level of charisma and confidence. The gold-certified Chicago-born/Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter has earned her success by way of a quiet, decade-long grind. Additionally, Haley landed third place and became a fan favorite on season ten of American Idol. As a sought-after talent, Haley collaborates regularly with Postmodern Jukebox. She appears on their highest-viewed videos on YouTube (over 300 million views). Haley has also dueted with legendary star Jeff Goldblum on two tracks from his chart-topping jazz standards collection. Furthermore, Haley plays regularly with Robby Krieger of The Doors among other rock legends. She continues to keep her rock ‘n’ roll roots intact. Her take on the Elvis Presley classic “Can’t Help Falling In Love” earned her a gold plaque from the RIAA.

![]() “nimble wordplay… wistful and gorgeous” – American Songwriter Ron Sexsmith is a three-time Juno award-winning singer songwriter from Ontario. The melodic songs of the 1960s drew Ron to music from an early age. There, he heard them on the radio and his mom’s record collection. Further, Buddy Holly and Elton John were his earliest musical heroes. He always loved to sing and started playing guitar at age fourteen. However, he didn’t truly become a songwriter until he was twenty-one. Ron moved his young family to Toronto to further pursue a career in music. There, he worked as a courier by day, while performing in the clubs by night. He formed the band Ron Sexsmith and The Uncool and started gaining attention from music label executives. But all passed on signing him. In 1991 he released his first full-length album, Grand Opera Lane. The Canadian music industry rejected the album, although it found its way to Los Angeles. Then, Ron signed his first music publishing deal followed by a recording contract. Sexsmith released his self-titled label debut album in 1995. The melancholic tone and sparse acoustic arrangements of the album met with disapproval from his label. However, an enthusiastic endorsement from Elvis Costello drew media attention and the album was declared a critical success. Rolling Stone wrote: “He just may be the most fluent balladeer to come along since Tim Hardin or Harry Nilsson.” He has built a steadfast reputation with critics and with some of his own songwriting heroes. These include Elton John, Ray Davies, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen and Paul McCartney. Additionally, Sexsmith is loved for his characteristically honest, sensitive, and enduring approach to the songwriting craft. Her artistry is — to borrow a descriptor The New Yorker favored — “dazzling.” She released Sonicwonderland in 2023, debuting perhaps the most expressive, dynamic and versatile working band of her career. Featuring Hadrien Feraud on bass, Gene Coye on drums and trumpeter Adam O’Farrill, the group furthered Hiromi’s distinctive musical alchemy. Here, she melds the spirit of classic jazz-rock fusion with classically rooted virtuosity, entrancing funk, pop flourishes and, through O’Farrill’s trumpet, acoustic jazz’s state of the art. The album also did a remarkable job of capturing Hiromi’s mastery as a live entertainer. As The Guardian noted, “Sonicwonderland is perhaps the closest thing to Hiromi’s onstage exuberance.” But that was only the beginning. Sonicwonder has continued to tour and work together consistently, advancing their deep chemistry and fearless sense of interplay. The results can be heard on Hiromi’s new album, 2025’s Out There. Here, the group’s powerful rapport meets the pianist’s astonishing abilities as a composer on equal footing. Recommended for fans of Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock and Weather Report. 📸: Mitsuru Nishimura

![]() “One of jazz piano’s most brazenly virtuosic players.” – New York Times Jazz piano phenomenon Hiromi has seamlessly shifted from one spellbinding project to the next in her two decade-plus recording career. In the process, she’s earned a reputation as one of the most explosive live performers in jazz history. Furthermore, she has become a global ambassador for the art form. Her many triumphs include an NPR Tiny Desk Concert that has racked up 2 million views. She also had the opportunity to represent her native Japan with a performance at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She won the 2024 Best Music Score for the animated feature film Blue Giant (Award of the Japanese Academy). Finally, a Grammy award for a collaboration with fusion hero Stanley Clarke. ![]() “He’s one of the best musicians I know” – Leo Kottke A special show of duos, celebrating the versatility and dynamic range of the acoustic guitar! Guitar guru Tim Sparks will play a set with jazz and flamenco rising star Ben Abrahamson. Then, he will play a set with folk blues guitarist and longtime Rio Nido bandmate Tom Lieberman. Tim Sparks has been redefining the acoustic guitar repertoire since he won the National Fingerpicking Championship in 1993 with a ground-breaking arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite. Equally at home with country, blues, jazz or global music, Sparks’s extraordinary ability has earned him an international reputation as one of the most innovative guitarists working today. Ben Abrahamson is a fresh, dynamic voice on the acoustic guitar. His compositions evoke the dexterity of flamenco and the harmonic storytelling of jazz. His passion for flamenco guitar drove him to Taller de Músics School of Music in Barcelona. There, he studied under Juan Ramón Caro. He has composed works for the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet, Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre, Mac Jazz big band, and more. Furthermore, Ben has shared the stage with mentors like Michael and Tony Hauser, Susana di Palma, La Conja, and Chuscales. As creative director and producer, Tom Lieberman has contributed to productions that have received numerous awards of distinction. As a guitarist, Tom has performed all over the country, including a ten-year run on A Prairie Home Companion (he was replaced by Chet Atkins). In addition to Rio Nido, Tom performs both as a solo artist, and with his group, Tommy & The Liebermen. His 2013 album, Common Denominator, made Star Tribune’s Top Ten list for the year. It was described as “bluesy, simmering, profoundly philosophical” and “a charming, eclectic album of original songs.” Recommended for fans of Leo Kottke, Marc Ribot, Bill Frisell and Rio Nido.

Since forming in 2006, The High 48s have been making music that combines the soulful sound of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude, original songs and a wide range of influences far beyond Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and Flatt and Scruggs. In a genre created and dominated by artists from the South, The High 48s were born and raised in the Upper Midwest. And in a music scene where playing standards is the norm, The High 48s are a band of songwriters who perform their own material in addition to the “festival favorites.”Music 11am - 1pm
