The Monday Club (Six-piece Traditional Jazz Band) at White Squirrel

The Monday Club In the summer of 2023, Nathan Berry returned from a long winter in New Orleans, began hosting demi-weekly traditional jazz sessions at his home in Minneapolis, and The Monday Club was born. The new six-piece outfit features the polyphony and virtuosity of a classic three-horn frontline led by Nathan on cornet, and the backbone of a thumping parade infused rhythm section. They play a repertoire centered on the work of early 20th century giants, largely of New Orleans, such as Jelly Roll Morton, George Lewis, Kid Ory, Sidney Bechet, Papa Celestin, Sam Morgan, Jabbo Smith, and more. Following their recent triumphant public debut, The Monday Club is delighted to be holding their first ever residency, every second Thursday, at The White Squirrel Bar!
