The Falderals: The Falderals play new folk for old souls. Composed of husband and wife Andrew and Rebecca Andestic and hailed by the Superior Telegram as a “true taste of American folk music,” the two have been playing music together since they met in the Peace Corps, starting around campfires, then the streets of Chicago, and now in bars and coffee shops around the Twin Cities. They’ve released four albums and once toured the US with three kids and a minivan. Their buttered harmonies and foot-stomping instrumentation will take you on journeys through ghost towns and wooded bike trails, bars, and bright-lighted cities; and while you travel with them, you’ll somehow feel right at home. Art Vandalay: Art Vandalay is a Twin Cities-based band known for its serious songwriting and playful live energy. Django Reinhardt, Jazz Manouche This show will feature all of the famous waltzes from Django Reinhardt and the generations that followed in his footsteps. Ryan Picone: Lead Guitar Tessa Nichols Meade: Violin Ian Stenlund: Rhythm Guitar Sean Roderick: Bass The Ryan Picone Quartet is a group that was put together to showcase the original compositions of Ryan Picone. The music has been written throughout different time periods in his life, and represents his connection to the music of Django Reinhardt. The band consists of Ryan Picone from The Red Hot Django Peppers, Ian Stenlund from The Mississippi Hot Club, Tessa Nichols Meade from the Cold City Heat, and Matt Blake from the Gentleman’s Anti Temperance League. This group is an all star group that brings together a new transfiguration of Jazz. In 2023 the Ryan Picone Quartet released their debut album titled – I Awake dedicated to the legendary Django Reinhardt. The album has received great praise from the Django community including author Michael Dregni. In 2024 RPQ played their first Django Festival along side with musicians like Joscho Stephan and Sam Farthing.
