“Married To The Nightlife” Album Release
With The Saddle Sores
—
Award winning Twin Cities guitarist, vocalist & songwriter, Alan Subola is back with a new album, “Married To The Nightlife”.
This record showcases songs Subola’s penned over the past 25+ years for various bands, including rockabilly rebels, The Vibro Champs, The Bad Companions, Kinda Fonda Wanda & cowpunk combo, Phil Gnarly.
“Married To The Nightlife” features all NEW recordings and arrangements with surprising stylistic spins.
In early 2024, producer Chris Strouth suggested Subola revisit his catalog of songs and invite his talented friends to lay down some tracks. They had a BLAST rehearsing & taping them in a south Minneapolis studio for what was clearly a WILD ride through honky tonk, rockabilly, 60’s rock, New Orleans Jazz and even bluegrass territory. His combo is composed of The Vibro Champs’ slap bassist, Bill Keefe and drummer Mo Engel, backing a bevy of local stars.
The stellar cast performing at the release show includes such Twin Cities luminaries as Jenny Russ, Amanda White, Dan Gaarder, Steve Clarke, Randy Broughten, Bill Quinn, Nathan Berry, Jimmy Kennedy, and Haley Olson.
Also on the bill are The Saddle Sores, performing classic country from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. If you like your music with a good sense of humor and a little sass, you’ve come to the right place!
