Lakeside Effects w. Sun Stereo, Ghostlands

Lakeside Effects: Awe-inspiring Electronic Dance Fusion. Lakeside Effects live shows have prompted excited fans to ask “are you even human?!” Genre-defying and masterfully executed, Lakeside Effects is a dazzling, experimental, multi-instrumentalist, feel-good dance party from start to finish. Lakeside Effects is helmed by multi-instrumentalist and producer Adrian Barnett who seamlessly switches between saxophones (even playing two at the same time!) to flute, keys, bass, vocals, AND drums all while the music never stops. There is no other show like Lakeside Effects!     Sun Stereo: Sun Stereo delivers a full sensory explosion incorporating a hybridization of organic and electronic elements blended with Beatlesque vocal harmonies, electronic soundscapes, circus-esque performance dance, sing-along story book lyrics, orchestral strings, and a funk-your-face-off horn section. Since their inception in 2012, they have developed a fierce following and established themselves as a truly original, one-of-a-kind psychedelic circus! They also have performed tribute sets for special festival sets as The Beatles(Gentlemen of the Road Tour/Summer Camp 2012-2015), The Doors(Summer Camp 2016), and The Flaming Lips (Summer Camp 2018). They have performed at numerous festivals, including Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road Tours in Ohio, Illinois, and Iowa, 10 years at Summer Camp Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, 3 years at Peoria Blues and Heritage Festival, The Taste of Randolph Street, Navy Pier, Shoefest, SOHO Music Festival, Illiac Music Festival, Pygmalion Festival, Make Music Normal Festival, People Fest, Bonfire Music Fest, Merchant Street Music Festival, The Dixon Petunia Festival, Down on the Farm, Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, and Taste of Champaign. They have shared the stage with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Devotchka, Here Come the Mummies, EOTO, Keller Williams, The Wood Brothers, The Werks, The Apache Relay, Digital Tape Machine, Mike Dillon Band, Those Darlins, The Main Squeeze, This Must Be the Band, UV Hippo, Waydown Wanderers, Euforquestra, Jon Wayne and the Pain, J.C. and the Uptown Sound, and Henhouse Prowlers.Ghostlands – Bio   Ghostlands: Ghostlands is a band from Minneapolis, MN. Groovy and Ethereal with the Neighborhood Quartet

Dunsmore Jazz Room 6161 Hwy 65 NE, Minneapolis, MN, United States

Dinner and drinks service starts 1 hour before showtimes. An Evening of Evocative Instrumental Music Sticky melodies layered over funky grooves, with clever arrangements, tasty solos, and plenty of vibraphone! Steve Roehm: Vibraphone Dan Schwartz: Guitar, Vocals Nick Salisbury: Bass Greg Schutte: Drums If you spend some time with the quartet’s music, you won’t be surprised to learn its members are in-demand players around and beyond the Twin Cities. Roehm’s vibes are essential to the imaginatively interpretative trio the New Standards, fronted by Chan Poling (the Suburbs) and John Munson (Semisonic). As a supporting musician, Schwartz has played with many singer-songwriters and acoustic acts, including Dan Navarro and Peter Mayer. Drummer Greg Schutte, in addition to being among the finest jazz drummers in the Twin Cities, has played and toured with Mickey Hart, Chastity Brown, and Ryan Bingham, a gig he shares with NHQT bassist Nick Salisbury. Schutte is also a sound designer and runs a recording studio, Boom Island Recording, where he ably produced the Neighborhood Quartet’s album. The big-eared and agile Salisbury, despite stiff internal competition, must be the group’s most scheduled player; in 2023, he played 353 gigs, and is a particular favorite with songwriters and Americana acts such as Brian Fallon, Sarah Morris, Jack Klatt, and the Dollys. “Add the debut LP by the band of seasoned Twin Cities jazz and rock sidemen to your list of cool instrumental to groove to while getting work done, à la Khrungbin or Hermanos Gutiérrez. Vibraphonist Steve Roehm of The New Standards leads the be-bopping alongside Dan Schwartz’s neo-twangy and sometimes surfy guitar through 10 original tracks you wish were 50 instead; not just so you could get more work done.” – Chris Riemenschneider – Minnesota Star Tribune theneighborhoodquartet.com
