Internationally-acclaimed indie singer/songwriter Lissie returns to The Parkway for a month-long residency, performing EVERY Saturday night!
Each performance will be unique and include different special musical guests. Lissie plans to curate four very special nights, each and every one not-to-be-missed!
I’m so excited to share that I’ll be doing a weekly residency, Saturday’s in January at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis! The Parkway has been so wonderful to me over the years and were true friends, especially during Covid, as we did several livestreams from their stage. The opportunity to keep the music alive was a balm for the soul and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them once again!
I’ll have 4 evenings to create a moving, beautiful night of music, each a little different, as the month progresses. The audience in the Twin Cities has really shown up for me for a decade plus! Thank you! So, I’m really looking forward to re-learning old, seldom played songs solo, duo, band AND I’ll be welcoming many special guests to the stage as well! I hope you’ll join me! More details to come!
Beginning as an experiment, Trash Date was a place for members Joey Hays (drums/vocals), Kate Saoirse (guitar/vocals), and Megan Mahoney (bass/vocals) to make a home for the ideas they felt were lost. This practice was put to the test in a cabin in northern Wisconsin and again in living rooms across Minneapolis, creating the intemperate and introspective songs that would define their sound. A sound replete with reflective storytelling, discordant guitars, and a driving, attentive rhythm section.
Those who are familiar with Trash Date know members Hays, Saoirse, and Mahoney from their involvement in the Minneapolis music scene and beyond. Since 2020, these three session players have been featured on over 40 albums and EPs cumulatively and have toured extensively with artists from all over the U.S.. They are active members in over 25 bands, many of which they play in together.
