![]() Dinner and drinks service starts 1 hour before showtimes. Midwest Country Music Legend Sherwin Linton! Midwest Country Music Legend Sherwin Linton will celebrate his 86th birthday and 68 years in entertainment with an intimate up close variety Country music show rich in his own music roots and the songs of his contemporaries. Featuring Pam Linton and The Cotton Kings. Sherwin Linton: Guitar and Vocals Pam Linton: Vocals Kenny Wilson: Steel Guitar, Flat Top Guitar, Banjo and Dobro Norton Lawellin: eyboards and Key Bass Don Nustad: Drums South Dakota native Sherwin Linton launched his career in the music business in 1956 as a 16 year-old disc jockey and live performer of country and rockabilly music on radio station KWAT in Watertown. Moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1957, this talented singer, guitarist and songwriter began performing throughout the country. Sherwin journeyed to Nashville in 1966 and recorded “Cotton King,” a song that catapulted him to the top of the Country charts. Country icon Roy Acuff was so impressed with Sherwin that he signed Sherwin to his legendary Acuff-Rose Publishing Company and Hickory Records, resulting in numerous TV appearances and nationwide tours. Following the 1971 release of a live tribute album, “Hello, I’m Not Johnny Cash,” Sherwin received multiple national nominations from the CMA and ACM (and praise from Cash himself). Subsequent hits included the 1986 novelty song “Santa Got A DWI,” an anti-drunk driving song that hit the charts and became a Christmas favorite (and has sold over 1 million copies). Sherwin continued his prolific recording career in 2011 with the release of a CD “Hillbilly Heaven” pairing him with many Grand Ole Opry and Country Music friends. Sherwin’s latest album is a 43-song double CD set of 19th and early 20th Century songs he learned from his parents. “Sunday Drives With Mom and Dad” received a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album of 2023. Sherwin has been a true music ambassador, romanticizing his home state with memories of railroad life and growing up in small South Dakota towns – themes that are woven into the fabric of more than 27 albums and over 68 years of live performances across the U.S. and Canada. “Sherwin Linton has been a great correspondent for Country Music for many years. He is the go-to guy for all things concerning authentic Country Music. In the mid-west, Sherwin is a larger than life Country singing, string bending, rhinestone wearing, boot heel dragging, fancy car driving, cowboy hat wearing state of the art Country Music star if there ever was one. Most of all he’s my pal. I always enjoy his work.” Marty Stuart “The Marty Stuart Show” RFD-TV www.SherwinLinton.com |

![]() Dinner and drinks service starts 1 hour before showtimes. Helping You Defy Earth’s Current Gravity Red Planet (Dean Magraw, Chris Bates, Jay Epstein) formed in 2003, plays innovative jazz sounds with a strong emphasis on creative interactivity. Now with the addition of brilliant pianist, Kavyesh Kaviraj to the band, the group elicits a perfectly strong/sensitive blend of empathetic musical spirits. The Planet is known for its unique interpretations of the music of John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, and enchanting originals. Dean Magraw: GuitarKavyesh Kaviraj: PianoChris Bates: BassJay Epstein: Drums “Red Planet sets the stage for this album with a searching rubato, dark and lovely tune by guitarist Dean Magraw’s “Ann R Chi Suite,” as it hovers into the frame, making the full, noir-ish melody glow like a neon sign through a big-city hotel window. Magraw with bassist Chris Bates and drummer Jay Epstein – is a band of Twin Cities notables that emits wide open spaces, filling those spaces subtly but colorfully, the improvisations and accompaniments brimming with blue-hued melody – an atmospheric beauty!” – 4 Stars. Al Subola and Lazy Ike! Two of the Twin Cities’ best roots-rockers and bandleaders (The Bad Companions, Lazy Ike & the Daredevils) team up for a set of tunes drawn from (as it says on the Bad Companions’ website) “the swingin’ heyday of American rockabilly, r & b, country and blues”! Wilkinson James has been on the Twin Cities music scene since 2008, when Liz Wilkinson and AJ Scheiber blended their singing and songwriting into a style that one fan described as “the bastard offspring of June Carter Cash and Townes Van Zandt.” Over the years the duo of Liz and AJ has evolved into a full band, adding touches of jazz, torch, and swing to their base of honky-tonk, folk, and blues. Join these great local Americana artists for an afternoon of musical fun, friendship, and maybe a little rug-cuttin’!

![]() GALACTIC COWBOY ORCHESTRA was started in 2009 by founding member/bass player John Wright. The band was born out of a desire to play technically challenging music derived from John’s influences ranging from Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Dixie Dregs and King Crimson, to name a few. Wright enlisted the aid of guitarist Dan Neale, who brought to the table many deep Jazz influences in his advanced playing and composing style. Along with the band’s first drummer, Mark O’Day, the beginnings of Galactic Cowboy Orchestra were found. Soon after, violinist (and John’s wife) Lisi Wright joined the band with her aggressive “electric guitar player plays violin” style and engaging stage presence to complete the band’s sound and look. Fast forward 16 years: 6 studio releases (and one live), 3 Downbeat Nominations, a Minnesota Arts Tour Grant, collaborations with symphony orchestras, thousands of miles of touring and the band is just getting started. |
