The New Havoline Supremes
The New Havoline Supremes
The New Havoline Supremes are a Twin Cities based band, featuring the legendary Mary Cutrufello on guitar and vocals, and Dan Lowinger on guitar. Formed in October of 2023, the band plays a mix of classic country and Mary’s original tunes, and features Greg Schutte (Ryan Bingham, Mickey Hart, Chasity Brown) on drums, and Erik Lillestol (Cafe Accordion) on bass. Mary Cutrufello With 30 years of experience in the music business, Mary Cutrufello is everything from Texas honky-tonk heroine and fiery Midwestern roots-rocker to a powerhouse acoustic performer. Connecticut-raised and Yale-educated, Mary’s musical journey has taken her from the East Coast to Houston and now to Minnesota. Career highlights include: the major label release of ”When the Night is Through,” on Mercury Records in 1998, appearances on national tv shows such as Tonight Show with Jay Leno, appearances at major festivals including Farm Aid, and tours with Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Tish Hinojosa. Mary has seven self-released albums, and has played guitar locally for Annie Mack, Michael Perry and the Long Beds, and many others. A rock and roll band! Killer harmonies, rippin’ solos, cool songs, funny shit in between. Hailed as a country guitarist, Mary Cutrufello grew up on East Coast classic rock. (Yes, think Springsteen!) This tight, taut trio explores her songs old and new with the fearless guitars, stories, and between-song banter she’s known for. Dan Lowinger, a transplant from Portland, OR, is a guitarist steeped in the tradition of Western swing and classic country. Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2017, Dan has become a fixture in the local country and Americana scene, playing on a regular basis with all star Western swing band Honky Tonk Jump, and country rockers Cole Diamond, while also sharing the stage with local greats, Martin Zellar (Gear Daddies), Tony Andreason (The Trashmen), Pat Donohue (Prairie Home Companion) and many others! He has performed regionally and toured nationally with many different country and swing bands from the Pacific Northwest including: The Barn Door Slammers, Ralph Carney’s Pepper Grinders, Vince Mira, and Western Centuries.

Mid Death Calm w. Garf & Unattractive Giant Monster
Mid Death Calm w. Garf & Unattractive Giant Monster
From the icy depths of Minneapolis rises Garf, a four-headed Sonic beast born in 2024 and bread for chaos. With names like Mr. Marbles, Whiskers, Babbles, and the elusive Spirit of Mr. Hands, this isn’t your average sludge band-it’s a living, growling entity with claws sharpened on distortion and attitude. Mid Death Calm is a three piece Alt/Rock/Doom band from Minnesota. Unattractive Giant Monster is a post genre, weirdo sewer punk band from the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Fueled by hotdogs and inspired by bands like The Dead Milkmen, Devo, and Diarrhea Planet, UMG is ready to Party.

Saturday Bluegrass Brunches with The High 48’s ($6 Cover) at Aster
Since forming in 2006, The High 48s have been making music that combines the soulful sound of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude, original songs and a wide range of influences far beyond Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and Flatt and Scruggs. In a genre created and dominated by artists from the South, The High 48s were born and raised in the Upper Midwest. And in a music scene where playing standards is the norm, The High 48s are a band of songwriters who perform their own material in addition to the “festival favorites.”Music 11am - 1pm

D.C. Leonhardt And The Night Shift w. The Weeping Covenant
D.C. Leonhardt And The Night Shift w. The Weeping Covenant
D.C. Leonhardt and the Night Shift bio: Formed in 2024, D.C. Leonhardt and the Night Shift is the full band project of D.C. Leonhardt. Living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota, D.C. Leonhardt is a mostly traditional folksinger whose songs focus on labor, religion, love, and hard living. His live sets are a blend of story and song, humor and tragedy, all seeking to illuminate the ordinary. D.C. Leonhardt’s debut solo album, (roughly), was released in October of 2024. The band is in the process of recording the next album, The Newer Testament. The Weeping Covenant bio: Based in Minneapolis, MN, The Weeping Covenant is headed by vocalist and songwriter, Michael Beatrez. Writing from a lyrically driven perspective, he generally touches on themes of hope, vulnerability, and love. Beatrez leans into his comfortable sweet spot by singing over soft fingerstyle guitar ballads and rock songs that drive with measured intensity. The music of The Weeping Covenant is rooted in Americana, with pop sensibilities akin to Jeremy Messersmith, piercing storytelling of Jason Isbell, and spacious, sustained vocals that melt into reverb like the ballads of John Denver.
