Lori Dokken presents: Just Me (Volume 2)
Dinner and cocktail seating and service begins 1 hour before showtimes. An Evening of Cabaret, Pop, Humor and Theatre Join Lori for an evening with … Lori! The first show was so much fun that we are getting together to do it again with a brand new set list! The first half of Lori Dokken’s 40+ year career in the music industry was spent working alone a lot … in cabarets, piano bars and hosting open mics. The second half has focused more on being a player, producer and music director for many sold out, innovative and creative presentations focused on women in the music industry over the past 100 years. For this very special encore performance Lori takes center stage on Sunday, May 18th to go back in time a bit to where she began. Patrons can once again expect a set list containing a diverse array of material from her catalogue of almost 45 years in the industry. The evening will feature songs from the 40s to today made famous by such artists as Tracy Chapman, Jim Croce, Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Nina Simone, Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Bonnie Raitt, Ella, Kenny Loggins … well … you get the idea … with styles ranging from swing to pop to jazz to folk to Broadway to rock and Americana. Lori Dokken: Vocals, Piano, Music Director David Stanoch: Drums Benjamin Kelly: Bass Produced by Lori Dokken and Stuart Paster In 1992, Minnesota StarTribune music critic, Jon Bream said: “Dokken is an eccentric cabaret performer with an abundance of talent and personality. Her piano playing has as much personality as she does. And her playing, like her singing, is all over the musical spectrum …Dokken is an unabashed ham who performs with high, albeit engaging, drama. She has an expressive face even though she sings with her eyes closed. She’s all arched eyebrows, furrowed brow, dimples and grimaces. Her voice has the dramatic flair to match her face. She sings with the clarity of a modern-day Judy Collins and sounds like a Broadway version of a husky-voiced Laura Nyro. At times she seems like a race-car driver without a map or brakes. Invariably, her quick wit and her equally quick musical instincts save her. She is never less than entertaining.” Learn more about Lori at – www.loridokken.com

Sunken Planes w. Field Hospitals, BIG INTO
Sunken Planes w. Field Hospitals, BIG INTO
Sunken Planes is a loud and catchy Indie rock outfit out of Minneapolis. They released their Debut EP “Intersections” in 2024 which has garnered substantial College and Freeform radio airplay across the U.S. and beyond. Their sound blends jangly guitars enveloped by razor sharp angular guitar lines, a driving rhythm section and unforgettable melodies. They have been playing live shows around the Twin Cities since the EP’s release. The band is working on a new full-length album to hopefully be released in 2025. Sunken Planes consists of Michael Banning-Guitars/Vocals, Jacob Poling- Guitars, Joel Almberg- Bass Guitar, Nick Blake-Drums. Minneapolis’ Field Hospitals draw on decades of nervy jangle rock tradition with sharp songwriting and taut live performances that hint at the members’ background in Midwestern post punk. Drawing from the deep well of classic indie, Field Hospitals connect early American indie bands like REM and the Feelies with influences from British Commonwealth legends the Go-Betweens, the Clean, and Teenage Fanclub. The result is a sound that will appeal to fans of recent critically acclaimed bands like the Tubs, Sharp Pins, Ducks Ltd., and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. Guitar/Vocals – Hank Henry, Guitar – Dan Ganin, Bass – Matt Helgeson, Drums – Jeff Ball BIG INTO is a spacey, two-piece weirdo indie rock band featuring a couple o’ Minnesota experimental rock vets: vocalist and guitar player Jozef Conaway and drummer and vocalist Curtis Kraft Mattson.

A folk band with a hippie attitude. As the name implies a stage with this group on it is not a very stable one and you never know who may show up and sit in on a set.

CASEY GERALD 9PM Casey Gerald Anderson is an alternative electronic musician with a sound built of passionate lyrics and electronic synths, pedals and effects. His music is expressive in a way that reaches outside the world of hip hop but he also has deep roots in the Minneapolis hip hop community. Casey’s style combines both smooth and grungy sounds. His unique voice ranges from high and soft to loud and boisterous. LINNEA GRACE 10PM Linnea Grace, raised on Eminem and The Beatles’s music is full of emotionally charged lyrics with catchy melodies to both, acoustic and electronic songs. My shows range from acoustic lullabies to powerful raps all with an underlying message of love on a journey back to self through heartbreak. BUZZBOX 11PM Minneapolis based grunge band with hot groupies.
