February 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Join three of the twin cities’ most prolific singers for an evening celebrating the music of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson. Wintersong is a duet by these two pioneering sonstresses, and the vibe for the evening. Cozy, rich, big, sparkly and comforting, the evening will include a mix of jazz, pop, folk, broadway and more. Backed by a four piece band, Leslie Vincent, Nicole Wilder and Colleen Somerville will belt out the tunes that have provided the backdrop to the last 20 years.
About the Arists:
*Colleen Somerville (co-director) is a producer, performer, director, feminist, musical theatre nerd and activist! Since moving to the Twin Cities from Ohio in 2005, she has performed on nearly every stage in town, but found her true passion of amplifying the voices of women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists in 2018, starting her company Somerville Productions to serve that passion. Her original, company-created pieces Not Fair, My Lady! and SIZE were sellout hits at the MN Fringe Festival in recent years, along with numerous cabarets and variety shows, both online and in-person. As live theatre and music re-emerges, Somerville is dedicated to being part of a true fresh start for the artform — challenging the systems within it that silence so many voices and envisioning fresh and creative ways to pass the mic.
*Leslie Vincent is a prolific songwriter and jazz vocalist. Equally at home singing the Great American Songbook, musical theater, and contemporary rock and pop, she has quickly become one of the most notable voices to emerge in the vibrant Minneapolis music scene, being hailed for her joy-filled performances and her “fun, human, beautiful interpretations” (Levi Weinhagen). In 2020, she released her debut jazz album These Foolish Things, which garnered critical attention from fans and music critics in the Twin Cities, especially from Jazz88 FM, where she’s become a regular in-studio guest. Since then, she’s recorded with the band Viewers Like You and performed alongside Twin Cities legends including jeremy messersmith, Joyann Parker, and Patty Peterson. Her sophomore new album, About Last Night, mixes jazz standards, vintage blues, and her own fresh originals, and came out last year to soaring success. She fronts the Amy Winehouse/Carole King show “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” which has been performed at kj’s hideaway multiple times to great success and much dancing in the aisles.
*Nicole Wilder is a Twin Cities-based musician and theater artist. She sings with many bands, including Fred Savage and the Unbeatables, Buck & Tammy Sue, and Sullivan Fox. You can frequently catch her on stage or behind the scenes at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, where she directed such Sommerville Productions hits as “Not Fair, My Lady” and “Size.” Currently, she is a company member of Gnarly Bard Theater, and will be directing “The Language Archive” with Theatre Pro Rata in the spring.
